The roofline is the most exposed area of a building, being hit by all types of weather conditions. Where traditional timber components have been used, often results in them decaying, rotting and such hazards as blocked gutters there is an answer to this problem, a permanent cure which not only removes the worry of expensive replacement of timber rafters if the rot spreads too much but also eliminates the need for re painting. Forget about your old flaking and cracking guttering and downpipes, this can be a thing of the past when you replace with our low maintenance UPVC products resulting in weather proof rot and warp resistant, robust, durable and will never need re paining. Too many installers simply fix the new product over the top of the old timber (this is called cap over ) it is of course quicker and much cheaper to do but will often be a disaster in the long term as it simply boxes in the problem and the rot continues to spread. We do not cap over we simply remove the existing timber fascia and soffits and replace with new 19mm thick fascia, 9mm soffit board or tongue and groove while at the same time inserting bird stops and installing new felt up to the first baton. Just think of the time and money you can save on painting your house or repairing your rotten fascias and soffits. It is not just the material that has to be right it also needs to be fitted correctly, as you know your roofline is one of the most important parts of your property, we know that some installers just work from a ladder and only have an arm's length to work with. However good they think they are it is just not possible to do the job well and to a high standard. At Kempston Windows we do things different, by using a scaffold staging system that works off ladders, this means we can work safe and often over difficult access points around the property. It takes a short amount of time to erect but most importantly we can work with precision at a height, installing with care and eyeing through every pin, nail and screw, making sure it is lining through and is straight. (No twist and bows) The guttering is always installed by using a string line, making sure there is the correct fall, it is also much easier to clean and seal (no gaps where birds or wasps can nest) Why risk a bad job and pay twice Colours External cladding UPVC materials need no maintenance and will last the life of the building. There is a choice of 3 traditional styles and a range of 4 colours in addition to the popular white. Unlike timber these materials will not warp, peel, crack or rot and will never need a coat of paint. |
